The Elementary School provides a warm and caring atmosphere where students collaborate practically, think creatively, reason critically, and communicate effectively. Elementary School at BAKIS starts at age 6 to 10 years (grades 1 – 5 in the US Curriculum system). The program includes a combination of core subjects (English, Mathematics and Science) taught by class teachers in grades 1 to 3, and specialist teachers for grades 4 to 5.

Specialist classes taught by subject specialists in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Social Studies, ICT, Music, Quran, Art, French, Physical Education and Moral Education. Elements of UAE heritage, history and Islamic culture are incorporated during teaching and learning activities across all disciplines.

Our online reading and literacy platforms and rotational I-pads enrich the learning experience and integrate technology through active learning.

Our Elementary students participate in school wide activities through shared projects with the older children, school-wide initiatives and whole school assemblies. Our indoor dining area and outdoor playgrounds area are purpose built to stimulate the sensory learning needs of our students.
